APICS : The Association for Operations Management

The membership cost for students is $25 per year.

Graduate or Undergraduate students are eligible to apply for conference Scholarships through their website. 

The deadline for application submission is around mid April. 

Requirements are as follows:

  • Be a APICS member or a student chapter member

  • Must be a full time student during the term when the conference takes place (usually the following fall term)

  • Must be available to attend the entire conference

  • Minimum 21 years of age

WIL : Women in Logistics

Membership cost for students is $20 per year.

 

WIL annually awards two $1500 scholarships to WIL members (men or women) who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a field relevant to Logistics or Supply Chain Management at an institution in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. 

(Membership cost may be waived for students applying for scholarships)

Requirements are as follows:

  • A Resume or CV with GPA attached.

  • A 1-2 page essay describing your interest in Logistics and Supply Chain Management and your future goals.

  • A letter of recommendation from a professor, a supervisor or a fellow member of Women in Logistics -emailed from their work address.

ISM : The Institute for Supply Management

Membership is free for students. Check out the Northern California Chapter(NAPM) for local events and updates.

NAPM offers annual awards for CSUEB students during the Spring quarter. Please check with OMS Faculty advisors.

 

CSCMP : Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals

Membership cost for students is $25 per year. Check out the San Francisco Roundtable for local events and scholarship.

 

CSCMP awards annual scholarships to students who are pursuing a graduate degree in programs leading to careers in Supply Chain management disciplines. 

Requirements are as follows:

  • Basic contact information, Resume (including GPA), and an indication of whether this is an application for the scholarship, the conference sponsorship or both.

  • Letter of recommendation from a supervisor or professor - emailed from their work address

  • A 1 to 2 page essay on how you became interested in a career in supply chain management, listing your near and longer term goals in the field

  • For annual conference sponsorship application an additional short (1 to 2 paragraph) explaining what you intend to gain from attending the annual conference.
