The Accounting Option provides conceptual and practical knowledge in the
preparation, reporting and analysis of economic and financial information
relevant to good decision-making. 
All successful business operations involve good decision-making, and accounting
is an integral part of this process.
Businesses continue to increase in size and complexity to the point that
accounting has become one of the largest fields of study at the University.
The demand for well-trained accountants remains high. The program is rigorous,

The program prepares students for careers in public accounting , industry,
government, tax agencies, financial institutions and non-profit institutions.
